Even the best board games get, well, boring after awhile. Every year or two it is good to refresh the games closet and invite over family and friends to try something new.
We found a great game called Blokus that is popular around the world but is fairly new to the United States. The goal of this game is for players to fit all of their differently-shaped pieces onto the board. When placing a piece it may not lie adjacent to any other piece, but must be placed touching at least one corner of the pieces already on the board. The player who gets rid of all of their tiles first is the winner.
So, as you wrap up your holiday shopping, don't forget about games - and one of the best you may not have seen yet is Blokus.

We gave our kids this game for Christmas and they are having so much fun playing it. One of the best new games in many, many years. You can also play online - go to blokus.com and click on 'play online'. You can play against others or against the computer.
