Even the best board games get, well, boring after awhile. Every year or two it is good to refresh the games closet and invite over family and friends to try something new.

We found a great game called Blokus that is popular around the world but is fairly new to the United States. The goal of this game is for players to fit all of their differently-shaped pieces onto the board. When placing a piece it may not lie adjacent to any other piece, but must be placed touching at least one corner of the pieces already on the board. The player who gets rid of all of their tiles first is the winner.

So, as you wrap up your holiday shopping, don't forget about games - and one of the best you may not have seen yet is Blokus.

You have probably heard the commercials about frozen pizzas that taste like pizzas you have delivered. Now you can skip the Chinese food delivery too. We found a series of Chinese food kits called Wanchai Ferry. Their tagline is ‘Amazing Chinese. Created By You.’

There are four kits – Sweet and Sour Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Spicy Garlic Chicken and Cashew Chicken. Each kit comes with all of the ingredients you need – all you add is fresh chicken. The Kung Pao Chicken kit, for example, comes with jasmine rice, roasted peanuts, chilies and kung pao sauce made with tangy vinegar, sesame oil, roasted garlic and spices.
